Breaking NewsThe Mexico Volunteer Fire Department, wishes to thank everyone who supported our Field Days from the parade, which started the Field Days off, through all three nights of running including the Saturday Kiddie Parade and Matinee. Again, you all have made our 2008 Field Days a great success. We look forward to seeing all of you again next year. Next year's Field Days will be held on July 16, 17, and 18. We hope to see you there.

Fire Safety Checklist When was the last time you went through your home and performed a fire safety check? Maybe never? There's no better time than now to do it. Print our Fire Safety Checklist, done in Requires Adobe Acrobat Reader format, then do a walkdown of your home. Correct any problems you may find before they become a disaster.

E.D.I.T.H. - Exit Drills in the Home 
E.D.I.T.H. - Exit Drills in the Home Fires don’t always happen to someone else! A majority of fatal home fires occur between the hours of midnight and 6 am when most people are asleep. When your smoke detector sounds, you may have less than 2 minutes to escape from your home. Your secondary escape route may be your only way out. An operating smoke detector will give you an early warning and those few minutes needed to escape. An escape plan, practiced at least twice a year, will increase your odds of making it out of the house alive. Read More...
